How to Start Farming
Step 1: Find the Merchant
Go to the beach area near the starting island. There's a merchant there who sells seeds.
"The merchant near the beach specifically had 4 Types of seeds."— Steam Community user, Jun 20 [Community-reported]
Seeds cost 100-200 Gold each. Community-reported
Step 2: Build a Farm Plot
Build a Farm Plot (also called Garden Plot) as a structure in your base. You can unlock and build these at Tier 1. Community-reported
Farm Plots get larger as you upgrade them. Community-reported
Step 3: Plant the Seeds
- Put the seed in your hotbar.
- Walk to a dirt plot (Farm Plot).
- Click to plant.
"Put it in your hotbar, go to a dirt plot, click."— Steam Community user, Jun 21 [Community-reported]
Step 4: Wait
Crops grow on their own — no watering, no tending. Just come back later and harvest.
"It will then grow on its own with nothing to do but wait."— Steam Community user, Jun 21 [Community-reported]
Crop Regrowth & Demolishing
Infinite Regrowth
Once you plant a seed, the plot will keep growing that crop forever. You don't need to replant.
"Once you buy a seed and plant it the plot will grow that crop indefinitely."— Steam Community user, Jun 20 [Community-reported]
Getting Seeds Back
If you demolish (break) a Farm Plot, the seed is returned. So you can rearrange your farm without losing seeds.
What to Do with Crops — Cooking & Flour
Cooking
Crops are used for cooking food that gives temporary buffs. Cooking happens at the Cooking Pot, which requires a Charling familiar to operate.
"If it's the cooking pot, it's the charling." — seraphim, Jun 14 [Community-reported]
Charlings can be found on the first island, in the crater area. Community-reported
Familiar level does not affect cooking speed. Community-reported
Flour & the Windmill
The Windmill is used to make Flour from crops. One player mentioned a 25 Flour requirement — likely for a quest or crafting recipe.
"I skipped farming except for the 25 flour requirement."— Lanrutcon [Community-reported]
The Windmill needs a familiar to operate. Needs verification
⚠️ Food Buff Duration
Multiple players report that food buffs last only a few seconds, making them feel pointless.
"Food buffs lasting for just a few seconds are meaningless."— VYM, Jun 22 [Community-reported]
This may change in future patches. [Needs verification]
