According to community reports: Disputed means conflicting community reports exist for the same data point. Neither version has been confirmed with in-game evidence. We show both versions so you can decide.

According to community reports: We re-check data after each game patch. Every page shows a Last checked date. Confidence levels may change when new evidence arrives.

We gather Witchspire data from official sources, in-game testing, and community reports. Every page on this site shows its confidence level so you know how much to trust each piece of info.

How We Classify Data

Every data claim on Witchspire is assigned one of 7 confidence levels. Here is what each level means:

OFFOfficial(OFF)

Official data comes directly from Envar Games — the developer of Witchspire. Sources include the Steam Store page, official patch notes, developer announcements, and formal statements. This is the highest confidence level on this wiki. Official data is marked with a green badge.

Example: Steam Store page listing system requirements, or official patch notes confirming new features.

What this means for you: You can trust this — it comes straight from the developer.

IVIn-game verified(IV)

In-game verified data has been confirmed by our team through direct gameplay on the current patch. We test recipes, material drops, familiar behavior, and boss mechanics ourselves. When possible, we include screenshots or video clips. This data is marked with a teal badge.

Example: A crafting recipe confirmed by opening the crafting station and seeing the exact materials.

What this means for you: Our team tested this in-game. High confidence, but always check the patch date.

SVScreenshot-verified(SV)

Screenshot-verified data is backed by an actual in-game screenshot submitted by a player or captured by our team. Screenshots must show the relevant UI element (crafting screen, inventory, tooltip) on Patch 0.1.3 or later. This data is marked with a green-teal badge. If a screenshot is outdated, the confidence may drop to Community-reported.

Example: A crafting recipe with a screenshot showing the exact materials in the crafting UI.

What this means for you: There is visual evidence. Strong confidence, but check the screenshot date.

CCCommunity-consistent(CC)

Community-consistent means three or more independent community sources — such as Steam discussions, fan wikis, and player guides — report the same information. No official or in-game confirmation exists yet. This level is stronger than Community-reported but weaker than verified. Marked with a blue badge.

Example: Multiple Steam community guides listing the same material farming location.

What this means for you: Multiple sources agree, but we have not verified it ourselves.

CRCommunity-reported(CR)

Community-reported data comes from player discussions, community wikis, or fan guides. It has not been independently verified by our team or confirmed with screenshots. Community data may be outdated or inaccurate, especially after patch updates. Always check the "Last checked" date. Marked with a purple badge.

Example: A material drop rate mentioned in a single Steam discussion thread.

What this means for you: Treat as a starting point. Verify in-game before making important decisions.

NVNeeds verification(NV)

Needs verification means no reliable source confirms this data. It may be a placeholder, a guess, or a single unconfirmed report. Do not rely on Needs verification data for important decisions like spending rare materials. If you can confirm or deny this data, please submit evidence. Marked with an amber badge.

Example: A recipe listed on a wiki with no source link or screenshot.

What this means for you: Do not trust this for important decisions. Submit evidence if you can.

DISPDisputed(DISP)

Disputed data has conflicting reports from different sources. For example, two community guides may list different crafting recipes for the same item. Neither version has been confirmed with in-game evidence. Disputed items show both conflicting claims. Do not spend rare materials on disputed recipes until verified. Marked with a red badge.

Example: The Witch's Pickaxe has two completely different reported recipes from different community sources.

What this means for you: Conflicting info exists. Do not spend materials until verified with a screenshot.

How Disputed Data Is Handled

Disputed content requires more than a badge. It must show the conflict:

Conflicting reports are shown side-by-side until a screenshot or official source settles the question
Every disputed item shows: badge, conflict explanation, both/all conflicting claims, and a call to action
Disputed items are never silently upgraded to Official or Verified
High-impact disputes are flagged on the Data Corrections page

If you have in-game evidence, submit it — screenshot proof is the fastest way to resolve a dispute.
