Requirements
To upgrade your Hearth, you need:
- Luminary Points (LP) — Earned through gameplay progression. Spent in the Luminary Skill Tree.
- Upgrade materials — Vary by level. Level 1→2: 10 Planks + Spirit Dust. Level 7: Ritual Candles. Others need verification.
- Previous Hearth level — Each upgrade requires the previous level to be completed.
Step-by-Step
- Step 1: Earn Luminary Points through gameplay
LP are earned as you progress. Exact earning method needs verification — it may be tied to achievements or exploration.
- Step 2: Open the Luminary Skill Tree
Access the Luminary tree from the UI. Find the Hearth upgrade node for your target level.
- Step 3: Gather required materials
Each level requires specific materials. Level 1→2: 10 Planks + Spirit Dust. Level 7: Ritual Candles. Full list needs verification.
- Step 4: Purchase the upgrade
Spend LP and materials to upgrade. The upgrade applies immediately. All placed Hearths share the same level.

Hearth Mechanics
What Does Hearth Do?
- Base core: Hearth is the center of your base area. It prevents enemies from spawning nearby. Community-reported
- Fast travel point: You can teleport to any placed Hearth from the map. Community-reported
- Shared levels: All Hearths share the same level. Upgrade once, and every Hearth benefits. Community-reported
- Relocatable: You can move your Hearth and keep the level. Official
- Second Hearth: You can carry and place a second Hearth for an additional teleport point. Community-reported
Luminary Points — The Skill Tree
Luminaries is Witchspire's skill tree system. You spend Luminary Points (LP) to unlock nodes that give you new abilities, recipes, and upgrades. Upgrades are purchased in the Luminary skill tree, not at the Hearth itself.

Wand vs Spellsword Path
You can choose to focus on Wand or Spellswordrecipes. You don't have to unlock everything — pick the path that fits your playstyle.
⚠️ No Respec
Currently there is no way to reset Luminary Points. Choose carefully before spending.

Common Mistakes
- ⚠️ Spending Luminary Points without planning.
Fix: There is no respec mechanism. Once you spend LP, they are gone permanently. Plan your build before committing points.
- ⚠️ Trying to upgrade at the Hearth itself.
Fix: Hearth upgrades are purchased in the Luminary Skill Tree, not at the Hearth building. Open the Luminary UI to upgrade.
