Before you can harvest Alder Wood, you need:

- Step 1: Craft or obtain a Spirit Sickle
The Spirit Sickle is required. It is not the first craftable sickle — exact recipe and unlock conditions need verification.
- Step 2: Travel to the 3rd island or Mira Isles
Alder Trees have white bark and a purple crown. The 3rd island (purple tree area) and Mira Isles are confirmed locations.
- Step 3: Harvest Alder Trees with the Spirit Sickle
Use the Spirit Sickle on Alder Trees. Note: there is a known intermittent bug where the sickle may fail — try relogging or switching tools if it happens.
- Step 4: Use Alder Wood for crafting
Alder Wood is used for the Alder Wand and Remnant of Sorrows recipes.
