Witchspire Covens — All 6 Covens Explained & Which One to Pick
Covens are Witchspire's class/faction system. Each Coven gives you a different starting weapon and playstyle focus. Here's what we know.
What Are Covens?
Think of Covens as Witchspire's version of a class system. When you start the game, you join a Coven that determines your: - Starting weapon - Playstyle focus (tank, DPS, support, etc.) - Early-game identity

Which Coven Should You Pick?
Playing solo? - Emberkin for maximum damage - Gloamcaller for safe ranged play
Playing with friends? - Mirewarden if your team needs a tank - Threadmaiden if your team needs support - Tidecaller if your team needs healing
Love building? - Stonekin is made for you
Coven Interaction with Familiars
Your Coven choice may affect which familiars synergize best with your playstyle: - Mirewarden (Tank) + a Tank familiar = double protection - Emberkin (DPS) + a DPS familiar = maximum damage output - Threadmaiden (Support) + a Support familiar = team healing powerhouse
Tips - Pick based on your playstyle, not "meta." The game is in Early Access — balance will change. - Solo players: Emberkin or Gloamcaller for a smooth start. - Group players: Ask your friends what you're playing, then fill the gap. - Don't overthink it. You can always start a new character to try another Coven.
