Familiar Basics
Familiars are magical creatures you can befriend, battle alongside, and assign to your sanctum. They help with combat, resource gathering, and exploration.
How to Catch
- Craft a Familiar Whistle at Workbench
- Find a Familiar in the wild

Preparing for Your First Boss
Boss battles are a core part of Witchspire progression. Here's how to prepare — regardless of which boss you face first.
Preparation Checklist

- 10+ Health Elixirs in inventory
- At least one Familiar tamed and leveled
- Hearth upgraded to Lv2 (unlocks more crafting stations)

Combat Tips
- Mana recovers slowly — manage carefully
- Use Familiars as tanks to absorb damage
- Match element types for bonus damage
- Practice dodge timing — bosses telegraph attacks
First Boss Notes
- Level 12-15 recommended for first boss [Needs verification]
- Early boss encounters include Al'uunian Golem (Level 10) per community walkthroughs [Needs verification]
- Stone Golem is a tamable Familiar, not a boss
